What do you get when you mix
an internationally acclaimed impersonator, outrageous comedy, great standards
and a bevy of icons? The hysterical parody of Judy Garland and her guests found
in
Michael Holmes’ riotous The Judy Show!
The spirit of Judy Garland is alive and well as
Holmes impersonates Judy who,
in her 1964 television variety show, played host to some of the greatest stars
of Hollywood – also played by Holmes.
This hysterical
blend of humor, music and you
explode into a comedy studded night of glamorous guest stars that are always
changing including Carol Channing, Mae West, Bette Davis, Billie Holiday,
Katherine Hepburn, Pearl Bailey, Peggy Lee and Tallulah Bankhead (all performed
by Holmes on stage). Singing many of your favorite standards including The
Trolley Song, Hello Dolly, God Bless The Child, Over the Rainbow
and many more Holmes is accompanied on the
piano by renowned Palm Springs’ pianist Joel Baker.
Holmes, who is a
celebrated entertainer, singer, impressionist, and improvisational comedian has
performed throughout the country to sell out houses. Being one of the most
sought after celebrity impressionists and cabaret entertainers in the United
States, Holmes, originally from Chicago, splits his time now between East and
West Coasts. In addition to impressions Holmes has become one of the country’s
premier jazz vocalists releasing his second Jazz CD this year.
